Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information unpak collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers two distinct contexts: information we collect from visitors to this website, and information we process on behalf of customers when our software is deployed inside their organization.

In this policy, "unpak", "we", "us", and "our" refer to unpak. "You" refers to the person reading this policy, whether you are a website visitor, a prospective customer, or an employee of a customer organization.

1. Information we collect from the website

When you visit our site, we collect a limited set of information to run the site and respond to inquiries. If you book a call or otherwise reach out, we receive the name, work email, company, and any context you choose to share. We also log standard request information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed, which helps us keep the site available, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate traffic patterns. We use a small number of first-party cookies for session continuity and privacy-respecting analytics, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.

2. Information the product observes

When unpak is deployed inside a customer organization, the software observes how work is performed in connected systems so it can surface where AI moves the needle. The customer is the data controller for this information. unpak is the data processor and acts only on the customer's documented instructions, under a written agreement.

The product is designed to operate on workflow signal, not on the underlying content of personal communications. We capture metadata about actions, sequences, durations, and tools used. We do not transmit message bodies, attachments, or document contents off the customer's environment unless the customer explicitly enables a feature that requires it. Personally identifiable details about individual employees are minimized at the point of collection, and where employee identity is required for analysis, it is pseudonymized before leaving the customer's environment. Customers control scope at all times. Systems, teams, channels, and time windows can be included or excluded as the engagement requires.

If you are an employee of an unpak customer and have questions about what is collected in your specific workplace, please contact your employer. We respond to requests from the customer who controls the data.

3. How we use information

We use information to operate, secure, and improve the unpak product and website, to produce the workflow map and recommendations that we deliver to customers, to respond to inquiries and schedule calls, to send service communications related to an existing engagement, and to comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements. We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked to hear from us.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer workflow data to train shared or third-party models. Any models used to produce a customer's analysis are scoped to that customer's engagement.

4. Sharing and sub-processors

We share information only as needed to run the business and deliver the service. This includes a small number of vetted infrastructure and tooling providers, professional advisors bound by confidentiality, and disclosures required by law. A current list of sub-processors is available on request.

5. Data retention

Website inquiry data is retained for as long as needed to respond to your request and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping. Customer product data is retained per the customer agreement. On termination, customer data is deleted or returned within the timeframes set out in that agreement.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to active customers through the contact on file.
